I want to facilitate pledges within GiveWP, so that a potential donor can indicate an intent to donate, and site admins can follow up with them at the indicated date.
It might look like this:
Admins create a pledge form with options like total amount, date to complete, frequency, etc.
Potential donor fills out the pledge to donate $100 toward a fund within a timeframe.
GiveWP records the pledge and emails at a specific date (or multiple dates) with a link to sign in and donate. The email includes the initial pledged amount, and the amount remaining to fulfill the pledge.
Once the total amount is received, the donor no longer receives reminders to donate.

I don’t think it should be done that the donor has to manually make the payment. but rather it charges their card like a recurring donation. but it shows on the donor wall and the goal that the donor donated the full amount.
I would like a feature that allows donors to commit to a donation before the actual payment is processed. This would help in planning and securing pledges without requiring immediate payment. It would be beneficial for campaigns that rely on pledged donations.

“ am interested in using GiveWP for our local basketball league. We are looking to host a “Shoot-A-Thon” fundraiser using crowdsourcing to gather pledges per free throw made. Your Peer to Peer add on looks like a great platform to potentially support this effort. Does GiveWP currently have functionality to accept “pledges per shot made”? For example people would pledge $1 per free throw made per athlete. The more free-throws an athlete makes the more money is raised. If this functionality doesn’t currently exist, are you aware of any clients who have modified the environment to create that capability?”

Is it possible with this plugin to allow donor to select something like a “Maybe Later” or “Amount to Donate”, then allow a download of ebook to be presented? I don’t want to display a “$0” amount, but also allow guest to get download if they don’t want to donate right now, then next action after decision to donate, will be do donation, then get download link for ebook, or if “Maybe Later” give download link to ebook, but capture name and email?

Is there a tool or addon with WPGive that allows you to take/track/manage PLEDGES? People who pledge to give, then give later?

“I would like to see if there is a way to store pledges into give. Is there a way to import this information using a csv. and then import the payment of the pledge.
e.g.
on Jan 1st, donor A pledged $1000 for fund x.
on Feb 1st, Donor A sent a check for $1000 for fund x.
Can we store both records. Also is there is a way to report on outstanding pledges.”

I wanted to check if there is any pledge option available in GiveWP that allows us to create a pledge link which can be shared directly in a Zoom chat during live sessions.
The goal is to let attendees quickly commit to a pledge amount in real time while we are presenting. Please let me know if this is possible natively in GiveWP, or if it requires an add-on or custom setup.

Currently, there is no way to configure pledges in GiveWP. It would be beneficial to have a feature that allows users to set up and manage pledges directly within the platform. This would enhance the flexibility and functionality of GiveWP for users who rely on pledge-based donations.

+1 on this as it was direcly asked for during a donor tramittal process meeting. Orgs pledge donations. Right now it is achievable, though, by having people select offline donations so I would prioritize this lower, honestly.

We are a church and begin our fundraising campaign in the fall of each year for the upcoming year. Therefore, we don’t actually collect any money from people until January, but need to have pledges that reach our goal for our operating budget. Thanks, let me know if you have any questions.
