As an admin, I want support for peer-to-peer fundraising on my website so that I can run multi-tiered campaigns where individuals can fundraise on behalf of our cause.

Kevin Hoffman: Thanks for the tip about the “give_totals_shortcode”. I’ve got that working on our page now. Very cool!
Hi Kevin! I am ideating on a Peer-to-Peer platform for Indigenous causes in remote communities. I would love to inform you about my use case. The platform is about fundraising in specific sustainability/cultural project categories, and there needs to be an on-boarding process for the user to setup their account, identify as a business or individual and select their Cause, have their donation page content approved by our Admins (pending state to approval), and allow the user to post updates on their live donation page from a Front-end account area. We desire a system where users set up the fundraising page, admins are notified and can communicate with the Fundraisers (email) and assist them to easily start using their social clout to draw traffic and donations—essentially creating ambassadors who are fund-raising for our global campaigns. These Campaigns can be rolling or fixed. The rolling campaigns would ideally notify users to set and meet a new goal around their birthdays or other important dates. For the listings, Donations pages would need to be sortable by category/cause and perhaps other meta. It would be nice to identify Open (rolling/active) and Closed donation pages. These user-created Campaigns would then accumulate funds towards the global cause category, which we could display as a meter (total for all categories, total for just one category e.g. sanitation). It would also be wonderful to allow users to create team donation pages, to fundraise together!
Devyn Brugge: Hey, Devyn. 👋 Thanks for those details! In your peer-to-peer setup, do you envision all of the donations being funneled into the same bank account which supports the overall cause?
Kevin Hoffman: Yes, that is our vision. However, I could see it being amazing to later translate our sustainability fundraising models to User-created projects that receive the funds directly. But from a legal perspective, that is somewhat difficult for our org.
As a peer-to-Peer Fundraising user, I want the ability to add either a Paypal or Stripe email address.
Joey: Hi, Joey. 👋 I’d love to hear more. If peer-to-peer users could connect their own PayPal or Stripe account to a campaign, would these users be fundraising on behalf of an organization, or for causes of their own?
John Hibbs asked us about this twice on Twitter. Once in
Tara Claeys: Thanks for sharing, Tara! Can you tell me more about the importance of an end date for your campaigns? Do you use it primarily to signal urgency or to ensure that forms are closed after that date?
Kevin Hoffman: oh snap! I personally think you are only (2) features away from being done with a solid MVP.
Dhane asks specifically that it be a feature with Elementor via HelpScout
marzmuso via WordPress.og ForumHi, I’m not sure if this is outside the scope of the plugin so am asking here. Can Give free or paid be implemented to allow vendors on my membership site to create campaigns, accept donations & goals for their own content or is it limited to only the admin of the site ? I’m not a developer but if it requires some customisation can you kindly point me to the relevant PHP code. Thanks
Tethe Fernandez via Priority SupportWe are wondering if the plugin has a feature that can help us achieve this, we want to empower our donors proving for them the possibility of creating their own fundraisers, do you guys have anything we could use?
Michelle Frechette: I’m sure it is a common request, so don’t feel like you need to gather every mention of peer-to-peer. What would be most helpful is feedback from users talking about their specific use cases for P2P.
Rabbi Pinchas L. Landise via GiveWP Facebook Group: Trying to add a Peer to Peer element to an upcoming fundraiser. While its simple to make separate forms, pages, goals, etc. for each team, is there any way with Give to tie it all together? In other words, have an overall campaign page with an overall goal and overall form, and the goal reflects the activity of the main form and all the subforms and subpages of all the teams?
