Conditional Custom Fields#2

When adding custom fields to a donation form, it would be helpful to display or hide one field based on the value of another field.

(I feel like we need hype music here) This feature, easily the number one asked for feature in Form Field Manager, has been RELEASED in version 2.0. Update to that, and be sure to check out the revamped documentation for how to use the new conditional field visibility settings. SOOO nice.

Peter Adams via Customer Success Presale Demo petera@pruposeontheplanet.org Peter wants to create conditional fields within his forms: - A dropdown quantity other than “1” (such as a dropdown to pay for a carbon offset for 2, 3 or four people, instead of just one person, using the same base $ amount per person for all these items) can be selected to generate an augmented donation amount that correspond with the number of people selected; - A number of years (of prior carbon emissions, for example) can be selected from a dropdown where the selected amount in each instance is simply associated with a fixed dollar amount that has been pre-programmed/uploaded in advance to go with each of the number of years that can be selected). - An amount can be entered arbitrarily to provide a more generous contribution so more trees can be planted.

Dustin Best via Priority SupportI need to build in some conditional logic for one of my forms. I have Form Fields Manager. Is their any capability in this add-on for this?

It would also be great to have certain custom fields only appearing when one or more specific (pre-set) donation amounts are selected.

Romane Vernet via priority support“Issue Description: I wanted to know if I can link certain gateways to a dropdown in the form? For example, let’s say I have 3 options in a dropdown. Option 1 and 2 can be linked to PayPal and option 2 can be linked to Square. Lastly, If someone selects option 1,2, or 3, a radio button toggles to Online Payment as a payment method. If they choose to mail in a check, then it doesn’t show the payment method”

Emily Miller via priority support“Clicking on the green donate button will trigger the popup where you can find the option to dedicate the donation. The client is requesting a checkbox option to notify the family if someone is giving on their deceased’s behalf. This checkbox would only appear when the option Yes has been chosen to dedicate a donation.”

Tiziana Wise via Priority Support It would be a nice feature in the future to be able to add some conditional statements via the form field add-on, so for now -we’ll just make it required every time.

Wise Animal Rescure via priority supportThe scenario we have is that we HAVE to collect certain bits of information for each donor. So the first time donation WOULD include Name, Address, Email, Address, etc. (our custom fields). What we are trying to eliminate is that we only want to collect that for 1st time donors. So assuming we have a repeat donor, they have already provided that information AND have an account registered with us. We would like for them to just be able to make another donation without having to fill out all of that information AGAIN. So the conditional statement would be only make required or display our custom fields when user is not logged in (assuming its a first time donor, since anonymous & guest is disabled) or the email address is already registered.

Jürgen Schöntauf via Priority SupportBesides that, we miss the possibility to create conditional form fields (i.e. if they check a checkbox option it opens a text field)

Derek Chartrand via Priority Support: If I click a checkbox, “Are you retired,” I want two form fields to disappear. How do I do that? All of these form fields, the checkbox, the two extra form fields for “Occupation” and “Company” were added by Form Field Manager. I need some way to dynamically make these fields appear and disappear depending on the checkbox. Also of course the validation of the two text fields should not be there if the fields are not there.
