Global custom fields & export using Form Field Manager#13
As an admin, I want to create a custom field that will be used by all the donations forms I have, or at least many of them, and I want to have this as a global field that I can add to any form.

Jon & I discussed the global custom fields aspect. Best implementation would probably be reusable (saved) fields & saved form templates.

This is less a problem and more a technical question. We have multiple forms on the go, and for different events and appeals, and our database team is running in to an issue, where by the mass export of all donations and all forms, doesn’t allow for us to capture the Donor’s phone number.
Currently we have the phone number added on all our forms, in the custom form fields, and have marked it as required, so that we can make thank you and stewardship phone calls to donations over a certain amount.
The problem is that our Database team needs to export csv files for each form separately, in order to access the custom fields info.
Is there a way to make the phone number a default part of the donor information collection at payment, and make it standard across all exports?

This will likely be addressed as a part of an overarching effort to help with modernizing and overhauling how Fields are added to the form. This is a great feature request, and I’ll add it to the discussion for sure. It’s not officially on the roadmap at this point, but will certainly discuss this.
